Our Career Connect Washington Sector Lead Partners


Career Connect Washington Sector Leads are charged with fostering improved collaboration and coherency amongst employers

within a sector to scale their work-based learning programs and create equitable opportunities for students.


Committed to creating opportunities

Career Connect NW has provided support for Career Connect Washington (CCW)  sector leads by engaging, as well as recruiting businesses to engage, in sector strategy development. They have helped to identify organizations and programs in regional colleges/registered and pre-apprenticeships/K-12 districts that can serve as Career Explore/Prep/Launch platforms and served as connection points of introduction.

Information Technology & Cybersecurity

● CCW Program Builder Grant in Aerospace/Advanced Manufacturing/Health Sciences/Information Technology/Human Services, Mukilteo School District/Sno-Isle Tech Center

● CTE Dual Credit coordination for Computer Science courses with Skagit County schools and Skagit Valley College, coordinated/facilitated by CCWNW. Results include additional CTE Dual Credit articulations, Computer Science teacher survey, and professional development opportunities between SVC computer science faculty and K12 teachers


Maritime

● Career Launch in Marine Maintenance and Technology, Skagit Valley College

● CCW SBCTC FTE Grant in Marine Maintenance and Technology, Skagit Valley College

● CCW Program Builder Grant for Registered Apprenticeship in Maritime, Whatcom Working Waterfront 

● Co-exploration of additional grant opportunities for maritime sector within the NW Region
